Ⅰ．はじめに

　胃の大彎側疾患は比較的少なく，ことに胃体部大彎側では稀れである．内視鏡の立場から胃の大彎側疾患について，綜説的な報告は，まだみられず，ときに症例報告がみられるに過ぎない．

　われわれは過去3年間の胃カメラ，Fiberscopeの成績を整理し，大彎側病変の統計的事項および内視鏡的特徴について述べる．

　Peptic ulcer of the greater curvature side of the stomach is a relatively rare and its incidence in the gastric corpus is less than 1% of all gastric ulcers, while carcinoma in that region is found in 3.5% of all gastric cancers. Endoscopic characteristics of ulcerative lesion seen in the greater curvature side is, in general, quite different from those found in the lesser curvature side, so that differentiation between benign and malignant gastric ulceration is diflicult by endoscopic findings alone. Therefore it is indispensable to perform biopsy and cytological examination in combination with endoscopic examination as diagnostic procedures.
