要旨　近年開発されたデジタルラジオグラフィーであるcomputed radiography（CR法）を使用して，切除標本，従来法とCR法のX線写真の三者が十分に検討可能であった17例の早期胃癌を対象に切除標本とX線所見との対比を行った．特に従来法とCR法両者のX線写真の比較検討を行った．従来法と比較してCR法ではコンピューターによる階調処理や周波数処理を行うため，癌巣の境界部，内部の顆粒像，隆起表面の性状や周囲非癌粘膜における胃小区像など，切除標本における肉眼所見の描出に優れていた．今後，コンピューターによる画像処理の改良によりⅡb病変の診断が期待される．

　Recently developed computed radiography, a kind of digital radiography, was compared with conventional radiography in reference to pathological findings of 17 cases of early gastric cancer in which sufficient data were obtained.

　Compared with conventional radiography, computed radiography, by processing contrast and frequency was better able to depict gross findings usually obtained by examining resected specimen; margin of cancer lesion, granularity inside the lesion, surface character of the elevated lesion and area gastricae around the lesion. It is likely that improvement in image processing by computer will enable us to diagnose Ⅱb lesion in the near future.
