要旨　患者は63歳，男性．検診で食道病変を指摘され，治療目的に来院した．検診での内視鏡検査で指摘された食道粘膜癌に加えて，その近傍に不整なヨード不染帯を認め，これらの病変に対して，内視鏡的粘膜切除を施行した，病理組織診断は，前者は深達度m1の扁平上皮癌，後者は生検では癌が疑われたが，切除粘膜には悪性所見はみられなかった．術後1年を経過したが，再発は認めず，狭窄などの合併症も認めていない．

　The patient was a 63-year-old man who had pointed out a small mucosal lesion of the esophagus on screening endoscopic examination. Meticulous endoscopic examination with iodine staining revealed another mucosal lesion of the esophagus. Endoscopic mucosal resections were performed for the double esophageal mucosal lesions. One lesion was histologically confirmed to be a squamous cell carcinoma. Malignant change was not found in the resected specimen of the other lesion, although cancer had been suspected by biopsy. Neither recurrence of the cancer nor complications such as stenosis were found in one-year surveillance after resection.
