In a Conference Room：
Dr. A (Intern)：The case to be presented* here today concerns acute diarrhea and pain in the right upper quardrant. The patient is a 34-year-old engineer who had been in excellent health until about 10 days ago when he developed watery diarrhea associated with chills and fever. He felt nauseated and vomitted at the time he consulted his physician. The physician thought the patient had gastroenteritis. However, usual measures* failed to control the symptoms.
