Dr. A (Medical Resident):The next patient for you to see this morning is a 60-year-old man, a radio repairman, complaining of a severe headache and right upper quadrant* discomfort.* The patient was in good health until 8 weeks ago, when he began to notice some pressure-like sensation* in his right upper quadrant. Although he has never had any colicky pain* or intolerance to greasy food, the physician he consulted thought the patient might have some gallbladder disorder. A cholecystogram* was taken of the time but revealed* normal filling of the gallbladder and no evidence of stone.
