陰茎包皮に生じたbalanitis xerotica obliterans

・陰茎包皮に生じたbalanitis xerotica obliterans（BXO）を経験した．

・BXOは硬化性萎縮性苔癬の1型とされる．

・陰茎包皮の環状切断術で，勃起時や射精時の疼痛，QOLの改善につながった．

The patient was a 45-year-old male who at around 30 years of age began to experience asymptomatic whitening of the preputial skin in the vicinity of the coronal sulcus. It spread to the entire circumference and gradually became accompanied by cutaneous induration. Topical steroid application was started, but there was little improvement, and 17 months after the initial consultation, we performed circumcision of the constriction band. Histopathologically, we observed loss of epidermal rete ridges, vacuolar degeneration at the dermoepidermal junction, and infiltration of the dermis by inflammatory cells, primarily lymphocytes. In the dermis, the collagen fibers had become homogeneous,and in some parts they had hyalinized. Based on these findings we made a diagnosis of balanitis xerotica obliterans(BXO).
