Patients with Heyde’s Syndrome are at higher risk of perioperative bleeding, and intraoperative hemostasis may be beneficial for these patients, there is a lack of definite guidelines for this procedure. We treated two patients with Heyde’s syndrome and conducted the anesthetic management for surgical aortic valve replacement, and we used rotational thromboelastometry(ROTEM®)to evaluate the patients’ intraoperative coagulation function. In one of the patients, a transfusion of von Willebrand factor was required because bleeding persisted even after we corrected the coagulopathy suggested by the ROTEM® results. Both cases were successfully managed without major hemorrhage complication.
