骨軟部腫瘍は発生頻度が低く，悪性腫瘍となると，一般の病院で扱うことは少なく，専門の施設で治療されることがほとんどである。しかしながら，治療後の経過観察は紹介元や近隣の病院へと紹介されることが多い。

Postoperative changes may require differentiation from postoperative recurrence. The amputation neuroma is continuous with the nerve. Chemotherapy promotes ossification of osteosarcoma. Giant cell tumor of bone also progresses to ossification after drug therapy with denosumab, so it should not be misdiagnosed as exacerbation of the tumor. IVR is a minimally invasive treatment, but complications need to be noted. Radiofrequency ablation can cause burns in soft tissues.
