大腿骨転子部骨折は主として低エネルギー損傷で高齢者に生じる関節外骨折である．不安定型の転子部骨折にはshort femoral nail（SFN）による骨接合術が行われるが，SFN術後の股関節脱臼の報告はきわめてまれである．われわれは，大腿骨転子部骨折のSFN術後8年で非外傷性の股関節後方脱臼を生じた症例を経験し，デュアルモビリティシステムを有する人工股関節全置換術（THA）により治療を行ったので報告する．
