Automatic Linear Stapler

今日の胸部外科手術において自動縫合器はなくてはならない機器になっている．従来，外科医は縫合・結紮を針と絹糸や合成糸などの糸で行ってきた．ステープラーは，それらと同じ機能をはたしながら，スピード，組織への接触時間，出血量，組織の損傷などに改善をもたらすことができる．手術時間の短縮も利点であるが，それ以上にステープラーを使用するもっとも大きな利点は，術中操作中に組織との接触時間を減らせることであり，それにより組織の損傷を減らし，縫合部の治癒が早まるというところにある．

The automatic linear stapler becomes the necessary device in today’s chest surgery. These made simple and uniform suture techniques possible, but it is important to fully understand the usage and characteristics of automatic linear stapler for safe stapling.

In this paper, we focus on the currently used stapler and describe its mechanism and its characteristics.
