要旨：本研究は，日光浴が認知症の行動・心理症状（behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia；以下，BPSD）に与える影響を調べることを目的に，当院の認知症治療病棟に入院するBPSDが著しい2名に対し，日光浴を行った．活動の中に日光浴をより多く導入して行い，評価は，ナーシングホーム用問題行動スケール（the Nursing Home Behavior Problem Scale：NHBPS）を用いた．これらを介入前・介入後で比較したところ，日光浴を多用することでBPSDが有意に減少する結果を得た．

　In the present study, we implemented sunbathing for two patients with marked behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) who were admitted to the dementia ward of our hospital. In order to investigate the effects of sunbathing on BPSD, an increased amount of sunbathing was implemented during activities, and assessments were made using the Nursing Home Behavior Problem Scale (NHBPS). Comparison of scores on the NHBPS before and after intervention showed a significant decrease in BPSD following increased implementation of sunbathing.
