要旨：作業療法士が行っている感情労働に焦点をあて，作業療法士の業務において求められている感情労働の構成概念を明確にすることを目的に研究を行った．医療施設および福祉施設に従事する100名を選択し調査対象とした．調査方法は郵送によるアンケート調査で無記名の自記式とし，回収されたデータはBerelson Bの内容分析によって分析した．分析の結果，対象者への感情労働は9カテゴリーが抽出された．対象者への感情労働として抽出されたカテゴリーは，先行研究に類似したものと「プログラムの工夫」など作業療法士独自のものも見られ，本研究によって作業療法士が感情労働を行っていることが示唆された．

　The purpose of this study was to clarify the contents of the Emotional Labor required in occupational therapy. One hundred subjects engaged in the medical institutions and welfare facilities took part in an anonymous survey using self-completed questionnaires and distributed by post. The data were analyzed using the Berelson, B content analysis method, and the response rate was 50%. Emotional Labor scores of 106 were found in occupational therapists' contact with their clients. Although some of the 9 categories of Emotional Labor were reported previously, an independent category “improving the occupational therapist”, belonging to the occupational therapy discipline was also extracted. These results suggest that occupational therapists are utilizing Emotional Labor with clients.
