The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and performance of wireless motion sensing for flattery support navigation and virtual image overlay by OsiriX in flexible endoscopic, laparoscopic, and natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery(NOTES). On the basis of our results, wireless motion sensing and image overlay visualization appears feasible and allows intuitive and accurate navigation for surgery. Furthermore, we reported animal and human NOTES transgastric or transvaginal cholecystectomy and appendectomy, and the utility of the fusion technology of the osiriX navigation and magnetic endoscope position detecting system to enhance technical skill by providing valuable information in NOTES.
