We have applied endoscopic techniques for the treatment of long-standing facial paralysis. Subperiosteal eyebrow lifting was performed for the eyebrow ptosis. It was suitable for patients with eyebrow ptosis measuring less than 6mm. Subperiosteal midface lifting may be applied to cases with incomplete paralysis. Lifting the muscle origin could give weakened muscle stronger tension, which results in more symmetrical appearance. Endoscopically-assisted sural nerve harvesting, in which only a 2cm-long incision is placed in the calf, provides less pain and better cosmesis, as compared with the conventional techniques.
