マウス間腦におけるアミン酸化酵素の組織化学的研究

Histochemical Studies on the Mono-amine Oxi-dase Activity in the Mid-brain of Mice

　5-オキシトリプタミン（セロトニン）を基質に用いて，その好気条件下におげる色素形成を観察することにより，組織化学的にモノアミン酸化酵素を検出する方法を記載し，その特異性及び局在性に関して検討を加えた。そしてこの方法により，マウスの間脳のモノアミン酸化酵素を組織化学的に検索し，その活性は灰白質特に視床下部に著明であり，神経細胞原形質内・脳室上衣細胞内・毛細血管壁細胞内及び脈絡叢に強度であることを認めた。

　これらの所見より，モノアミン酸化酵素が，1血液脳関門の機能及び神経細胞内におけるセロトニンの作用調節にあづかつている可能性を指摘した。

　A newer histochemical method which demonstrate the mono-amine oxidase activity in tissue as dark brown pigments from 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) under the aerobic condition has been described, and was discussed its specificity and localization in this paper.

　It was studied histochemically on the mono-amine oxidase activity in the midbrain of mice by our method, and was found that the activity was shown in the grey matter, especially in hypothalamus : and in cytoplasms of nerve cells, ventricular ependymal cells, capillary wall cells and in stroma of chorioid plexus.
