Human subject approval was obtained from the committee on human research at belonging the University.

There were three categories after the death.

【The couples each face the grim reality】

In this phase, four subcategories for men and four subcategories for women were identified in which they have to individually cope with the death of their child.

【The couples struggle to understand each other】

Three subcategories were delineated in which they interact with each other and strive to overcome a grim life event while deepening mutual understanding despite occasional conflicts.

【The growth period of the married couple's subsystem】

In this phase, the family structure changed; they were able to live their life with the deceased child without strain or hardship.

The findings of this study will help shed light on the experience parents who suffered perinatal loss may go through, how they eventually overcome it, and through what kinds of interactions.
