網状赤血球算定のための回転器による塗抹標本

Spinner*1 Films for Reticulocyte Counts

　網状赤血球算定を行うために広く使用されている方法は，比較的少数の網状赤血球を探しながら1,000個の正常赤血球を数える．報告する方法は回転器を用いて網状赤血球塗抹標本を用い，正常赤血球算定の必要性を避けているために，検査の単調さをほとんど除くことができる．現在使われている方法に比較し，この新しい方法の正確度及び再現性を，実際に比較して得た成績とともに報告する．

The widely practiced method for performing a reticulocyte count includes counting 1000 normal erythrocytes while^*2 searching for a relatively small population of reticulocytes. A method is presented using^*3 a spinner reticulocyte preparation which avoids the need to count the normal erythrocytes, thereby eliminating most of the tedium from the test. The accuracy and reproducibility of this new method, as compared to the currently practiced method, is presented, along with the results of an online comparison^*4.
