神経生理検査(脳波，誘発電位，筋電図・神経伝導など)は針筋電図検査を除いて非侵襲的であるが，様々な技術的ポイントや落とし穴が存在する．これらの点に習熟していないと誤診を招きかねない．ここでは，“ヒヤリ・ハット”と表現されるインシデントに触れつつ，リスクを回避するための機器設定の知識，記録法・手技の統一，アーチファクトへの対処，トラブル対処法に主眼を置いて解説する．

Neurophysiological examinations such as electroencephalography, evoked potentials, nerve conduction study except for needle electromyography are essentially non-invasive.　However, several important technical points and pitfalls are present.　Without knowing these points, misdiagnosis can be made.　Here general knowledge about the instruments, recording methods and techniques, contaminated artifacts and trouble shooting to avoid such risks and incidences are overviewed.
