顔面半側肥大症の1症例

A Case of Hemifacial Hypertrophy

I．はじめに

　正常人の身体各部に形態的非対称性が存在することは周知の事実であるが日常認識されることは少ない。これに対して生下時より優位側不変の明らかな非対称性を呈する一群の疾患があり半側肥大症と呼ばれる。顔面半側肥大症は半側肥大症の顔面限局型で，生下時より顔面あるいは顔面部分の半側に肥大または過剰発育のみられる疾患である。非常に稀な疾患であるが，今回われわれはその1例に遭遇したので文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A case of hemifacial hypertrophy that is a rare congenital condition was reported.

　A 1-year-and-2-month-old female child showed that the left half of the face including the left pinna, left half of the tongue, lower lip and dentition were hypertrophied while the right half appeared to be normal since her birth.

　The cause of hemifacial hypertrophy is uncertain, and we reviewed several literatures with regard to this condition, and found that there is a wide variety of associated features. This suggests that this condition may occur by many causes.
