  • Look Inside

Typical acoustic tumor develops with initial symptoms of cochlear symptoms, such as tinnitus and deafness, followed by those progressive neurological symptoms as trigeminal symptoms, facial palsy and disturbance of gait.

Diagnosis of typical acoustic tumor is not difficult. In rare cases, however, clinical courses are atypical. In such cases, the progress must be carefully followed. This report described a case of acoustic tumor, in which audiograms revealed changes in hearing level in low frequencies, suggestive of Meniere's disease.
