突然に頸部の回転運動痛を初発症状として整形外科を訪れた中耳癌の1例

A CANCER OF THE MIDDLE EAR

I．はじめに

　爾来，聴器の癌腫は，比較的，まれなものとされており，なかんずく，中耳より発生した症例は極めて少なく，したがってこれが診断に当っては，非常な困難を感じさせられるゆえんでもある。

　今回，われわれは，表題の主訴で来院した患者につき，臨床所見，および経過などから疑を一応激症型のムコーズス菌性中耳炎において，中耳根治手術を試み，その結果，中耳癌（扁平上皮癌）と判明した症例を経験したのでここに報告する。

　A man, aged 40, complaining of acute pain in the right side of the neck with symptoms of recurrent layngeal nerve paralysis, was referred from the Eye and Surgical Department for a diagnostic confirmation. The final diagnosis was an epithelial carcinoma of the middle ear. Because the case was touching on the borderline boundary it presented a diagnostic dilemma.
