扁桃炎の臨床

A TREATMENT OF THE TONSILLITIS

　Ⅰ．はしがき

　口蓋扁桃は咽頭扁桃，舌扁桃とともにワルダイエル咽頭リンパ環を構成して，気道および食物の通路となつている咽頭腔をとり囲んもでいるのでしばしば細菌の感染を起し易い。

　扁桃炎というと一般に口蓋扁桃炎を意味している。扁桃炎は扁桃の発赤腫脹により咽頭腔が狭少になるためにAnginaと呼称せられている。

　Tonsils are adenoid tissues forming the Waldeyer's ring of the throat and they are exposed directly to infections by external contact. The palatine tonsils are the most frequently attacked in the infection and their types are quite polymorphic. Bacterial resistance against antibiotic therapeutic agents is on the trend of increase causing ever the advent of newer products. The treatment of 180 cases of tonsillitis by means of various antibiotics and thier combinations is discussed.
