成人に現われた伝染性紅斑

　緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域においては，顔面の発疹を主訴とする疾患は極めてすくない。元来発疹性疾患は，内科，小児科，皮膚科の領域であり，患者自身もほとんど前記専門医を訪れる。従つて我々もまた，日常ややもすれば発疹性疾患を忘れ勝である。私は今春成人の顔面に現われた伝染性紅斑の一例に遭遇したので，茲に報告し，諸賢の御参考に供したいと思う。

A case of erythema infectiosum that occu-rred in a man, aged 50, is reported. The lesion formed a butterfly pattern which be-gan from the nasal root speading over both cheeks with its surface raised and colored by red and its edges well defined; it showed tenderness to pressure. The patient did not feel ill but the temperature was found to be 37.5 degrees. The patient recovered uneve-ntfully by 8 days of hospitalization during which leucocyte count and eosinophils showed a daily rise until the third day but, thereaf-ter, they began to fall.
