口蓋扁桃のCholinesteraseに就て

　緒言

　扁桃の生理的機能に関しては諸説あり，未だ全く闡明されていないため，現在各方面から検討されている。最近扁桃病理の綜説と題し，山本常市教授¹は過去8年間に於けるこの種研究を，生化学的と病理組織学的に大別して最近の動向を述べられた。

　私は既報^2）（慢性副鼻腔炎患者の血清Cholinesterase（以下ChEと略す）。並に血清Calciumの消長に就て）に引続き，ChEに関する研究の一端として口蓋扁桃とChEに就て検討し，扁桃機能の解明に幾分なりとも寄与せしめ度いと思い，本実験を試み，聊か成績を得たので茲に報告する次第である。

　HORI makes analysis of the cholinesterase contents that are founed in the tonsils which nūmbered 55 removed from 28 patients and derives following conclusions: That the character of tonsillar cholinesterase appears to be belonging to a special category:

　That by either side in the same individual no difference in its amount is noted:

　That the amount by age difference appears to be increased as the individual grows older:

　That the amount by degree of tonsillar hypertrophy it seems to be larger in that type of tonsils that are very small or with slight hypertrophy:

　That the tonsils that are less in weight seems to contain more in amount.
