HASEGAWA AND OKAMOTO report a case of severe epistaxis which occurred in a man, aged 48, who was affected with angioma over the left forehead and dorsum nasi. The nasal bleeding ceased only when the left carotid artery had been ligated and marked bogginess of nasal mucous membrane receded with applications of radium and Paquelin's cautery had been instituted. The angioma for the greater part was eliminated by injections of phenylethyl-alcohol.
