圧可変式シャントシステムの使用経験

Experience with Shunting Operation Using a Pressure-adjustable Valve

I．はじめに

　最近，圧可変式シャントが水頭症，硬膜下水腫（血腫），slit ventricle syndromeなどのシャント手術に用いられるようになり，その有用性についての報告が散見されるようになった^2,5,10）．われわれも小児の水頭症例の手術に圧可変式シャントを用いて，その有効性について既に報告したが^3），今回さらに成人の水頭症5症例と硬膜下水腫（血腫）2症例にこのシャントを用いて手術する機会を得たので，既に報告した小児水頭症例も含めて若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する．

Abstract

Ten patients, 8 with hydrocephalus and 2 with a sub-dural fluid collection, were operated using a pressure-adjustable shunt system (SOPHY). The valve-pressure of this shunt device can be adjusted precutaneously by means of a specially designed magnet.

In the postoperative course, the valve-pressure was reset in 7 patients. In four patients, valve-resetting was necessitated because of inappropriate valve pressure. In the others, resetting was performed in order to confirm shunt-independence.
