Ⅰ．はじめに

　視交叉部症候群を呈する脳腫瘍のうち代表的なものとして下垂体腺腫，頭蓋咽頭腫，髄膜腫が挙げられるが，これらの腫瘍の鑑別診断に関してこれまで神経眼科的所見^6,9,15），あるいは神経放射線学的検討^{1,2,5,11,12）}などが数多くなされてきた．しかしながら，実際の診療にあたってはこれらの腫瘍の鑑別診断は決して容易なものではない．われわれは過去9年間に経験した視交叉部髄膜腫7例を検討し，他の視交叉部腫瘍，とくに下重体腺腫および頭蓋咽頭腫との鑑別点に若干の知見を得たので，文献的考察を加え報告する．

Not infrequently, it is difficult to differentiate the chiasmal meningioma from other suprasellar tumors, especially pituitary adenoma and craniopharyngioma.

Authors examined 7 cases of chiasmal meningioma from neurological, endocrinological and neuroradiological points of view in comparison with the cases of pituitary adenoma and craniopharyngioma.
