Fourteen patients who had cervical myelopathy due to developmental stenosis of the cervical spinal canal are described. This disease is characterized by diminished sagittal diameter of the cervical spinal canal that measured less than 12 mm from C3 to C7 on the lateral cervical spine X-ray taken with target distance 150 cm. There are 10 males and 4 females, ranged from 32 to 61 years of age. Eight patients had spontaneous onset, while, 6 patients had sudden tetrapelgia or tetraparesis following hyperflexion and hyperextension injury of the neck.
