I．はじめに

　小脳腫瘍をその臨床症状と神経学的所見から診断することは比較的容易である。しかし小脳腫瘍の臨床症状から小脳の局在機能を詳細に知ろうとすることはむつかしい。すなわち小脳腫瘍を材料として小脳の局在機能を研究しようとする企てははなはだ困難なことである。ことに小脳正中部腫瘍から小脳正中部の機能を詳細に知ろうとしても，それはほとんど不可能に近い。早期に髄液腔を閉塞し，水頭症，脳圧亢進を来たし，そのために神経症状をおおいかくし，また脳浮腫のために小脳正中部構造を越えて，さらに周囲構造を侵すためである。一方また小脳正中部腫瘍は，小児および若年者に多いため，一般的にも小脳は代償機能が旺盛といわれているのによりいっそうその傾向がつよく，局所症状を出しにくくなる。

32 cases, 22 of medulloblastoma and 10 of astrocytoma, were examined to collect the symptoms and signs arising from the cerebellar midline structure. Equilibrium was disturbed in all cases and a great number of cases showed spontaneous, positional and/or gaze nystagmuses. Manifestation of dysmetria and adiadochokinesis are given to approximately a quarter of the cases; a very slight manifestation to approximately one-third.
