症例1：60歳，男性．左第3趾末節骨背側に1.4cm大，弾性硬で下床と癒着し半球状に隆起する多房性皮下結節．症例2：13歳，女性．左拇指MP関節尺側の1cm大，弾性硬，無症候性の皮下結節．両症例ともMRIで，T1強調，T2強調にて筋組織よりも低信号を示す腫瘤であり，骨侵食像を認めなかった．全摘術施行し，病理学的に組織球類似細胞が胞巣を形成し，巨細胞が散在していた．Giant cell tumor of tendon sheathの診断と進展度の評価におけるMRIの有用性につき考察する．
