スポーツ顔面外傷の臨床統計—最近5年間の経験

74 cases with Athletic Facial Injuries

　はじめに

　顔面外傷全般に関する臨床統計の報告は数多いが，スポーツに限った報告は少ない。またここに言う顔面外傷はそのほとんどが骨折症例に関するもので，われわれの以下に報告する74症例において71症例が骨折である。顔面外傷のうち，スポーツ外傷が占める比率は，報告者の専門科によって異なるが，藤野^1）の150症例では14％，椋代ら^2）の52症例では38.5％，松永ら^3）の68症例では21％，われわれの221症例では33.5％である。今回はスポーツ外傷に限っての臨床統計を発表して，その特徴を述べるが，顔面外傷全般との比較検討は稿を改めることにする。

Seventy four cases of athletic injuries were col-lectively analyzed. The average age was 21. 5 years old and 47% were seen in ages between 10-19, and 39% in 20~29. The cases com-prised of 59 males and 15 females. A total of 21 kinds of sports was included and base-ball 13 cases, rugby 12 cases, soccer 10 eases, basket-ball 9 cases, and soft-ball 5 cases were the major sports. As the cases were seen by otolaryngolo-gists, majority (75%) was occupied by nasal bone fractures. Other major fractures as orbital wall, zygoma and complex fractures were more often seen in such sports as judo, Karate, Aikido and skiing. Combined fractures were less frequent and only 2 cases were seen.
