腫瘍様所見を呈した単純ヘルペスウイルスによる扁桃炎例

A case of herpetic tonsillitis showing tumor-like lesion

はじめに

　思春期以降の患者に急性扁桃炎を生じる病原ウイルスとしては，HSVおよびEBウイルスが挙げられる^1）。HSVの診断は，通常血清HSV抗体価の測定を用いることが多い^2,3）。病理組織学的診断の有用性も報告されている^2,3）が，腫瘍性疾患との鑑別を要した報告はこれまでにない。今回われわれは腫瘍様所見を呈した口蓋扁桃に対して病理組織学的検査を行い，HSVによる扁桃炎と診断し得た症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 39-year-old female complained of sore throat. We suspected the possibility of neoplastic, viral, or infectious diseases such as tuberculosis for the right tonsil showing rough-surfaced tumorous lesion. A biopsy specimen of the lesion revealed herpes simplex virus infection. Histological examination seemed to be useful for early diagnosis of HSV and differentiatial diagnosis.
