Melkersson-Rosenthal症候群の1症例

A Case of Melkersson-Rosenthal Syndrome

I．はじめに

　Melkersson-Roscnthal症候群は繰り返す顔面の浮腫，再発性顔面神経麻痺，溝状舌（皺壁舌）を特徴とする症候群である。この症状の記載は1894年Hübschmann^1），1901年Rossolimo^2）にみられるが，顔面神経麻癖と顔面の浮腫との関係が示唆されたのは1928年のMelkersson^3）によってである。さらに1928年Rosenthal^4）が溝状舌を補足し，遺伝素因の存在を強調した。1949年Lüscher^5）がこれをMelkersson-Roscnthal症候群と命名している。

　本症候群は臨床的に比較的珍しいものであるが，今回われわれは本症例を経験したためここにその報告をするとともに若干の文献的考察を加えた。

A 82-year-old woman was consulted with a complaint of left facial paralysis of sudden onset. Facial paralysis of the right side appeared the next day, and a few months later, her whole face became swollen. Her symptoms were compatible in the Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome which comprised of facial paralysis, facial swelling and fissured tongue. Medication (Methycobal, Adephos and Kallikrein) and physiotherapy (face massage and hot compress) were performed. After 5 months, facial paralysis was recovered, but her facial swelling has remained unchanged.
