  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We evaluated 7 eyes of 7 patients with multiple posterior pigment epitheliopathy. The series comprised 6males and 1 female. Their ages averaged 49 years. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the exudative lesion showeda high-reflective layer in deeper retinal layers or posterior to the retina. Edematous retinal swelling inner to the exudative lesion was present in 5 eyes. In 3 of the 5 eyes, a high-reflective area was present in deeper layers of the retina surrounding the center of retinal edema. This finding seemed to show the presence of fibrious deposit or extravasated plasma component around the exudative lesion.
