アンケート調査からみた学校眼科検診

Students' opinion about ophthalmic health check in schools

　眼科検診や目・視力についての生徒の意識を知るためにアンケート調査を行った。対象は公立高校の1年生で，1997年から1999年の毎年．眼科検診前に調査用紙を配布，回収した。総数は883件であった。アンケートの結果，眼科医の行う検診の印象は薄く，眼科というと視力検査の印象が強いことが示唆された。また，生徒の視力についての関心は高いものの，視力や屈折異常についての誤解が多いと考えられた。この結果と現在の疾病構造や社会環境を考え合わせると，今後の眼科校医の役割として，正しい知識の啓発が重要と考えられた。

A total of 883 first-grade students in a public senior high school, aged about 15 years, were asked for their opinion on the annual health check program. The majority of them were interested in visual acuity testing but paid little attention to the importance of being examined by ophthalmologists. Most of them were interested in defective visual acuity but had incorrect knowledge about underlying actual eye disorders. This survey shows the necessity to supply correct informations regarding eye health and disease.
