  • Look Inside

A 46-year-old male presented with dysthyroid optic neuropathy and prominent chorioretinal folds in both eyes. Both eyes showed impaired visual acuity, visual field defect and exophthalmos. Systemic corticosteroid induced improvement in ocular findings. The chorioretinal folds persisted until 3 months after resolution of swelling of orbital tissue. The findings show that these folds did not affect the visual acuity and were consequences of swollen orbital content and, in addition, of lasting inflammation in the sclera and the orbit.
