（17-P1-23）　加齢黄斑変性（AMD）と後部硝子体剥離（PVD）との関連について検討した。対象は無治療のAMD74例（AMD群）と，性と年齢をマッチさせた対照74例（対照群）である。その結果AMD群と対照群，患眼と健眼（片眼性AMD60例），活動病巣と瘢痕病巣との間のいずれにおいてもPVDの発生率に有意差はなかった。また初診時活動性がみられ，6か月以上経過観察を行った症例44例について，PVD群とnon PVD群の間で視力変化，終診時の視力分布，活動性を持続した症例と経過観察中に瘢痕化した症例について検討したが，いずれにおいても有意差はなかった。以上より，今回の検討ではAMDと後部硝子体皮質との明らかな関連は証明されなかった。

We evaluated the incidence of posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) in 74 eyes with exudative age-related macular degeneration. Another series of 74 normal eyes matched for sex and age served as control. There was no difference in the incidence of PVD between the affected and control eyes, the affected eyes and the unaffected fellow eyes in 60 unilateral cases, or between the active and cicatricial lesions. Follow-up studies in 44 eyes which showed active lesions initially, there was no difference between eyes with and without PVD regarding the course of visual acuity, final visual acuity or whether the lesion remained active or cicatricialized after 6 months or longer. The findings show that PVD is not associated with age-related macular degeneration.
