新たに開発したフレキシブル導電率センサーを用いて乾燥性結膜炎患者と正常人における結膜嚢内の涙液の導電率を非侵襲的に測定し,涙液の電解質濃度およびturnover rateを求め比較検討した。本法により得られた乾燥性角結膜炎群(n=29),正常対照群(n=33)の涙液電解質濃度は,それぞれ324.8±41.0mEq/l,296.4±30.1mEq/lで,両者間には有意差があった(P<0.01)。また涙液turnover rateは乾燥性角結膜炎群(n=19)において21.1±7.4%/minであり,正常対照群(39.8±14.0%/min;n=27)に比較し有意に低下し(p<0.01),両群間の涙液動態の相違の存在が推定された.
We measured the conductivity of tear fluid in vivo by applying a thin flexible conductometric sensor in 33 healthy persons and 29 patients with keratoconjunctivitis sicca. The obtained values were converted into concentration of electrolytes in the tear fluid. The electrolyte concentration averaged 324.8±41mEq/l in healthy persons and 294.0±30.1mEq/l in the patients. These values were consistent with the previously reported ones. Turnover rate of tear fluid was calculated from conductivity changes. It averaged 39.8±14.0%/min in 27 healthy persons and 21.1± 7.4%/min in 19 patients. The difference was significant (p<0.01).
