経涙小管ドレナージ法が有効であった涙嚢粘液瘤

A case of lacrimal mucocele treated by drainage through the lacrimal canaliculus

　78歳，女性の涙嚢粘液瘤の1症例について報告した。治療法として，初診日に経涙小管ドレナージ法を行い，腫瘤を消退することができた。後日，涙道内シリコンチューブ留置術を追加して実施した。6か月を経過した現在も涙道の通過性は確保され，腫脹再発もなく，良好な結果が得られた。

　本症例の診断は経涙小管ドレナージ法によって可能となった。また本法は急性涙嚢炎の治療法として紹介したが，涙嚢粘液瘤に対しても有用であると考えられた。

A 78-year-old female presented with lacrimal mucocele in her left eye. Lacrimal sac drainage was performed through the lacrimal canaliculus using a silicone tube, and the tumor disappeared immediate-ly. Seven days later, direct silicone intubation was done through the lacrimal passage. The tumor and epiphoria was remedied by these treatments.

This case indicates that this method of drainage, which we reported last year for the treatment of acute dacryocystitis, is also useful for the diagnosis and treatment of lacrimal mucocele.
