  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Professor Ohashi had thought out the resistance to the aqueous outflow and the anterior outflow ratio by appling the compression test (Suda). However, a few questions on these arose from my studies.

1) Professor Ohashi devised the formula W=31/P-1 (P is the difference between ocular tension before compression and ocular tention after cessation), and insists on the theory that the W which is called "resistance to the aqueous outflow" according to him is higher in glaucomatous eye than in normal eye, but my measurement proved that W of glaucomatous eye was not necessarily so high as Ohashi's and that there was no remarkable difference between the average of glaucomatous eyes and the one of normal eyes.
