　レプトスピラ症（レ症）の後遺症として，葡萄膜炎乃至硝子体溷濁の起る事は，古くから知られているが，原因不明の葡萄膜炎乃至硝子体溷濁を診た場合，その原因がレ症である事を確認するのは容易でない。何故ならばレ症として含まれるものの中には必ずしも定型的な黄疸や高熱を来すものでなく，又血清反応も何処ででも行えるものではないからである。

　著者は昭和30年3月以降，広島県佐伯郡地方における葡萄膜炎乃至硝子体溷濁患者中にはレ症によると思われるものが，存在するのではあるまいかと考えて，次の臨床実験を行つたのでその成績を報告する。

It is not a new informatoin that vitreous oapcity should occur as a ocular residual symptom of Leptospirasmus. I applied Leptospira serum test to 25 cases with vitreous opacity in I had experienced at Department of Ophthalmology, Saeki Hospital, Saeki County, HiroshimaPrefecture and could not find out the other causes from, and found out each postive case of L.icterohaemorrhagiae, L.hebdomadis B and K.hebdomadies C. From this fact I made me sure that there was Leptospirasmus in this county of Hiroshima Prefecture.
