I. Intraocular pressure test was conducted be-fore and after lid-closure for 30 to 45 minutes by the Schiötz tonometer.

1) In the case of 400 normal eyes, the fluc-tuations of intraocular pressure ranged from -5.48mmHg to +5.07mmHg.

2) Of 38 eyes affected by glaucoma inflamma-torium, 22 cases (57.9 per cent) showed an ele-vation of 6mmHg or more.

3) Of 31 eyes affected by glaucoma simplex, six cases (19.4 per cent) showed an elevation of 6mmHg or more.

4) Correlation between the lid-closure test and the dark room test was not in evidence.
