糖尿病患者における網膜血管病変についての研究（第1報）—網膜小動脈硬化所見について

STUDIES ON RETINAL VASCULAR CHANGES IN DIABETIC PATIENTS:REPORT 1: THE INCIDENCE OF RETINAL ARTERIOLAR SCLEROSIS IN DIABETIC PATIENTS

はじめに

　糖尿病患者における網膜小動脈硬化所見は近年重要な問題として，検討されつつある。すなわち，本症患者において，循環器合併症による死亡率が増加しつつあるため，全身動脈系の硬化状態を推測し得る網膜小動脈硬化所見についての検討が必要とされ，一方，高度の視力障害をきたす糖尿病性網膜症が併存する網膜小動脈硬化により，どのような修飾をこうむるかを明らかにすることも，また重要な問題である。著者はこれらの点を解明するために，つぎのような研究を行なつた。

In the present report, clinical observations on the retinal arteriolar sclerosis in 300 diabetics who visited the diabetic clinic of the Tohoku University Hospital and on the non diabetics were described and the incidence in the both were compared with each other.

1) The total incidence of retinal arteriolar sclerosis was 69.6% in the diabetics and 60% in the non-diabetics.

2) In the diabetics, the incidens of retinal arterilar sclerosis in the group of hypertensions was 86.5%, but in the non diabetics the inci-dens 57.3% respectively.
