脳肺寄生虫症

Paragonimiasis with optic atrophy

I．緒言

　本邦に於ける肺吸虫の浸潤は広く，その異所寄生としての脳肺吸虫症に関しても最近の外科分野の進歩に伴いかなり多くの報告が行なわれているが，その殆んどが脳症を主体としたものであり，眼症状を主症状として報告されたものは佐々木^7）の1例，宗岡^3）の5例，井街^1）の3例，藤津^13）の1例等比較的少ない。

　私達は最近両眼視神経萎縮及び，比較的大きな中暗を伴つた左同名性半盲を呈し，その特異なレントゲン写真から本症と診断，手術により肺吸虫卵を確認した1例に遭遇しためで此処に報告する。

A case of cerebral form of paragonimiasis with optic atrophy, central scotoma, and left homonymous hemianopsia was reported.

The patient was a 25-year-old female, from Tajima District of Hyogo prefecture.

Clinical diagnosis was based upon X-ray finding of the skull showing characteristic calcium deposits. Eggs of Paragonismus we-stermani were found in the extirpated tumor obtain from right occipital lobe.

Optic atrophy may be due to arachnoiditis chiasmatica produced by paragonimiasis.

After craniotomy improvement in the visual acuity, field of vision and scotoma set in.
