　われわれは25症例27骨の偽関節（遷延治癒も含む）に対して偽関節部を交差する骨切り術（cross osteotomy，以下CO）を行うことにより全例に骨癒合を得ることができた．COは従来の偽関節手術に比べて手術手技が簡単で骨癒合期間も新鮮骨折の骨接合術の時の骨癒合期間とほとんど変わらなかった．臨床成績には満足しているがCO後の偽関節部の仮骨形成の機序は明らかではない．

　Cross osteotomy (CO) was used to treat 27 cases of pseudoarthrosis (including delayed union) in 25 patients, and union was achieved in every case. CO is simpler than the conventional methad, i.e. curettage and bone grafting, and the timed required for bone union after CO is the same as after usual osteosynthesis for fresh fracture. Although the cause of bone formation at the site of pseudoarthrosis after CO is unknown the clinical results are promising.
