  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Sinus pericranii has been infrequently reported in our country.

We have presented two cases of this disease and discussed the cause and the treatment.

Sinus pericranii is characterized by pericranial blood cyst communicating to the intracranial sinus. However, the pathogenesis of this disease has not been well known at the present stage.

In our cases, one case had slight head injury in the past history, but it could not be directly related to the cause of this disease.

All of our cases were treated with surgical pro-cedure with good results. Angiomatous changes could be found at the time of operation, so it could be suggested that the angiomatous change is more preferable than the trauma as the cause of this dis-ease. As for the surgical treatment, the dissection of pericranial varices was thought to be most use-ful. In addition to describe, venography by direct puncture technique of tumor was available for diagnosis in all our two cases.
