第3脳室上衣嚢胞について—1手術例の報告と文献的検討

ON EPENDYMAL CYST OF THE THIRD VENTRICLE:REPORT OF A CASE AND REVIEW OF LITERATURE

はじめに

　第3脳室上衣嚢胞あるいはMonro孔嚢胞と称される疾患は比較的稀なものとされているが，本邦においては特に稀なようである。われわれは最近本症と思われる1例を経験し，これを手術的に治癒せしめ得たので報告し文献的検討を加えたい。

A case of ependymal cyst of the third ventricle, successfully treated by operation, was reported and literature was reviewed. Number of the cases re-ported in the world may amount to 300, but reports in this country seem to be very few. Our case was fairly typical in that symptoms of intermittent intracranial hypertension, history of unconsciousness fit, operative finding of cyst incarceration into the foramen of Monro and histological findings such as inner lining with ciliated epithelia were observed, but was atypical in that colloid substance was absent, like in the case reported by Buchsbaum and Colton. Literature was reviewed and incidence, etiology, histology, symptom, diagnosis, operative treatment and prognosis of the disease were discussed.
