  • Look Inside

The transition of the frequency of alpha wave was examined on 36 cases; those cases had demonstrated normal or subnormal EEG. on preoperative examinations, and underwent extirpation of cranial tumour, excision of affected cerebral region, simple craniotomy etc..

1) The frequency of alpha wave reduced for 2,3 or 4 days, and recovered gradually in the course of 2 or 3 weeks after an ag-gression.

2) Those transition of the frequency were continuous, and minimum frequency were about 6 cycle per second.

3) In some cases normal frequency alpha waves appeared in the recovering stage of the transition ahead of recoveringthe mean frequency.
