The authors described upon an abnormal, accessory olfactory tract, found in the right cerebral hemisphere of a 62 years old woman.
The accessory olfactory tract branches off medianward from the normal tract at 4 m.m. behind the olfactory bulb, turns immediately backward and then runs, parallel to the nor-mal tract, till it reaches the olfactory trigone, into which it disappears.
On the outer surface it corresponded macro-scopically to intermediate olfactory stria, while it agreed histologically with Cajal's internal olfactory root.
