In this study, 57 participants;ASD group(n=17)and control group(n=40)who came to the special outpatient clinic for adult developmental disorders at the department of psychiatry were evaluated using Picture Frustration study(P-F study), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third Edition, Pervasive Developmental Disorders Autism Society Japan Rating Scale(PARS), and Autism-Spectrum Quotient-Japanese version. Only in the ASD group, a significant negative correlation was found between Group Conformity Rating of the P-F study and early childhood peak scores of the PARS(r=−.61, p<.05). The result indicates that the necessity of support by ASD in the childhood can predict mismatch to the present frustration scene and that the P-F study may be useful for assessment tool in the ASD.
